UCLA is a school of high demands and engaging environment that is everyone’s dream. But getting an opportunity to work for such a company can be a little overwhelming. Fear not, aspiring Bruin! This guide reveals some basic steps that can help you enhance your chances of being admitted to UCLA.

 Academic Excellence is Paramount

UCLA prioritizes academic rigor. Ensure that you have a good grade point average to increase your chances of being admitted; the ideal should be 3. 9 and above. AP or IB courses can be taken as an example – when you sit for these classes, you prove that you are capable of dealing with college material.

Standardized Testing (Optional, but important in Strategy)

Unfortunately, unlike in the past when UCLA did use the scores, you can still include your SAT or ACT scores, but only if your academic record does not exhibit the desirable strength. Looking at the historical score range of UCLA, it will be easier to calculate your competitive score for the profile.

 Go Beyond the Grades

UCLA seeks well-rounded individuals. Express yourself in clf activities, volunteer service or leadership position that you have passion in. Show leadership both in terms of coming up with own ideas and in terms of a proactive approching your tasks in a constructive manner.

 Craft a Compelling Narrative

The PIQs are your area of freedom to demonstrate yourself as the best candidate for the given position. Write good essays that focus on your experience, struggle, and dreams or goals. Be specific when narrating your stories, and where necessary, do not hesitate to show your colors other than the academic performance.

 Highlight Your Uniqueness

Out of all the participants, UCLA stands out as public university with multiracial students. Emphasise what happened to you in your past and your cultural background in your application. This can enhance the posible positive impacts the campus may have on the community and unveil ones possible way of contributing to it.

 Seek Guidance

Don't go it alone. Visit the UCLA admissions website, briefly watch webinars, and/or talk to your counselor. This presentation should focus on funding to make UCLA more affordable to attend, meaning research scholarships.

 Remember,  admission is holistic.

Nevertheless, when it comes to their application, three major approaches must not be forgotten: Originality is the most important thing. To anyone who applies and is offered a place, well done! The application is now your best chance to show how passionate you are and how much potential you have of becoming a Bruin one day.
